Min Shu is an Associate Professor of International Political Economy at Waseda University. He received a B.A. (Law) and M.Sc. (Economics) from Fudan University, and obtained an M.A. (European Politics) from Lund University. After completing his Ph.D. (Politics) at the University of Bristol, Dr. Shu worked as a lecturer at Fudan University, and then as an Associate Professor at Waseda Institute for Advanced Study. His current research focuses on comparative regionalism, international relations in pre-colonial East Asia, and political economy of globalization. His works have appeared in leading academic journals and several edited volumes, including European Journal of Political Research and European Law Journal. At HYI, he will explore the comparative dynamics of domestic and regional political economy in East Asia after the Asian financial crisis.
