Wang Zhen, an Associate Professor of International Studies at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), is currently the Director of the Security Studies Program at the SASS Institute of China Studies. He received his Ph.D. in International Politics from the Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). He was an exchange scholar at the Tel Aviv University, Israel during 2005-2006, and a visiting fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Studies, U.S. in 2015. Focusing on international security and China’s foreign policy studies, Dr. Wang has published numerous papers in leading Chinese journals such as International Politics Quarterly, Contemporary International Relations, Journal of Social Sciences, Historical Review, and World Affairs. He is the author of The U.S. Nuclear Non-Proliferation Policy during the Transformation Period of the Cold War (1969-1976): Cases of India, Israel and Taiwan (Beijing, 2013) and A New Theory on the Global War on Terrorism (Beijing, 2018).
