Shi Lin

Lin Shi is professor and director of the teaching and research section of World Ethnic Issues at the School of Ethnology and Sociology, Minzu University of China. Dr. Shi received her master’s degree (1998) and doctoral degree (2001) from Minzu University. She also conducted postdoctoral research at Nankai University. Since 2001, she has taught at the School of Ethnology and Sociology, Minzu University. She teaches economic anthropology, ethnology, English of anthropology, world ethnic issues, and development economics for both undergraduates and graduate students. Dr. Shi has served as the head of many research projects, most recently “Research and Comparative Analysis of African Tribal and Ethnic Relations” (under the China-Africa Joint Research and Exchange Program, 2013). Her publications include A Study of the Development of China’s Ethnic Economics (2006), and Ethiopian Ethnic Relations and Ethnic Governance Studies (2013).
