Prof. Tran works at the Institute of Literature, Vietnam. Her researchfield is in Vietnamese Ancient and Medieval Literature. As a Harvard Yenching Institute Visiting Scholar she conducted research on the effects of Chinese traditional culture-literature on Vietnamese literature in comparison with that on Japanese and Korean traditional literatures, and the similarities and differences in the way they accept, transport and use these cultural-literary merits to form their own national literatures.
