Dadui Yao is a professor of Comparative Literature at Hainan University. His academic career includes roles as a Visiting Fellow at the Harvard-Yenching Institute, a postdoctoral fellow at Fudan University, and a Visiting Scholar at Peking University, as well as serving as an associate professor at Sun Yat-sen University. His research primarily focuses on Chinese literature and religion, Sino-Western cultural exchange, Sinology, and world literature theory. He is currently working on two research projects: “Primers in China’s Protestant Mission: Propagation and Influence in the 19th-20th Century” and “The Influence of Confucius Sinarum Philosophus (1687) on the English Translation of Chinese Classics in the 19th Century.”
