Itagaki Ryuta

Itagaki Ryuta is associate professor of the Department of Sociology at Doshisha University, Japan. Professor Itagaki studies the social history of modern and contemporary Korea, and is the author of Historical Ethnography of Modern Korea: Colonial Experience in Sangju, Kyeongbuk,  based on fieldwork in South Korea. While at the Harvard-Yenching Institute his research topic was the social history of brewing in modern Korea.
