Ikoma Natsumi (Ph.D., University of Durham) is Professor and the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at International Christian University, Tokyo. She has taught courses on British literature, feminist theories, and gender & sexuality studies. Her research interests include narrative monstrosity and representation of abject bodies in a comparative context. Dr. Ikoma published extensively on Angela Carter, especially her works on Japan. At HYI, Dr. Ikoma conducted research on literature on terror, focusing on recent criminal cases and terrorist attacks in Japan and in the US, including 9/11. Currently Dr. Ikoma is interested in Posthuman theme in literature, and work with other specialists in interdisciplinary approaches to the theme.
