Zhang Qiang holds a BA (2009) and an MA (2012) in English literature from Beijing Language and Culture University, and a PhD (2016) in comparative literature from City University of Hong Kong. Currently, he is an associate professor in the School of Foreign Studies at Nankai University in China. His research interests include the study of W. H. Auden’s poetics and its reception in China, the translation activities of poets at Southwestern Associated University (Lianda) and the construction of translation theory in 1930s and 1940s China. He recently focuses on the study of Lianda poets’ compilation of Chinese literary history, the research of their poetry from pedagogical perspective, and textual study on their late prose works.
