Fang Jingwen
方静文

Fang Jingwen currently works in the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She was previously a post-doc at Tsinghua University, and received her Ph.D. from the School of Sociology and Population Studies at Renmin University of China. Born in Zhejiang Province, China, she obtained her B.A. in history and literature from Minzu University of China in 2008. She then obtained her M.A. degree in law from Renmin University of China in 2010. Her M.A thesis was on chronic illness and her dissertation will focus on cosmetic surgery in China. During her stay at HYI, she plans to complete her dissertation and gain more systematic knowledge in medical anthropology.
