Manuel Victor Sapitula is currently Associate Professor of Sociology, University of the Philippines-Diliman. He recevied his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore. His interests include sociology/anthropology of religion, qualitative research and Christianity in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. His current research project is about Marian piety and popular religion in the Philippines.
