Zhongxin (Cindy) Sun is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Fudan University, Shanghai, China.  Her research/teaching interests include: women’s/gender studies, sexuality, lesbian and gay studies, and contemporary Chinese society.  She acts as academic committee member for journals like “Chinese Feminisms,” “Gender,”  and “Gender and Health.”  She worked as a guest professor at Lund University, in Sweden from Feb to June in 2006.  During her stay at the Harvard-Yenching Institute, her main research focused on Gender Issues in Contemporary Chinese Society.
