DONG Jie (董捷)is a Ph. D. and Lecturer of Chinese Art History from China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. His research interests are on the Woodcut Works and Print Making of Late Imperial China (especially Late Ming Dynasty). His MA dissertation, which was published in 2006, was on the illustrations of different editions of the famous drama Xi Xiang Ji (the Romans of the West Chamber). Dong Jie got his Ph.D. degree in 2008 with the dissertation Print Career in Huzhou 1620-1644. His Supervisor was Prof. Fan Jing-zhong of China Academy of Art.
