Yasuhiro Kamimura is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Nagoya University, teaching welfare sociology and comparative social policy. His book, Welfare Asia: Comparison and Vision (The University of Nagoya Press, 2015), won the Special Prize at the 28th Asia-Pacific Awards, sponsored by the Mainichi Newspapers and the Asian Affairs Research Council.
Current Research Projects: political economy of East Asian welfare regimes, welfare state development in Taiwan, the history and future of work and welfare, old and new informal employment, environmental and social justice, and global social policy.
