Roger Shih-Chieh Lo is an Associate Professor of History at National Taiwan University (NTU). He received his Ph.D. in History from Brown University in 2010. He was an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut from 2010-2013. He has been teaching at NTU since 2013. He is a social historian of late imperial and modern China. His research focuses on popular politics in the southeastern coast of China from the late 19th to mid-20th century and historical anthropology.
