Sun Jinghao is Professor, School of Humanities, and Executive Director, Research Institute for Premodern Chinese History, at Zhejiang University. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of History at East China Normal University. His major research fields include the socioeconomic history of premodern China, and regional and urban history of late imperial China, focusing on the Yangzi Delta and northern canal areas.
