Zhang Mengyan
张梦妍

Mengyan Zhang is a Ph.D candidate in National Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies, Dept. of History, Fudan University. She received an M.A. (Chinese Language & Literature) from Beijing Normal University. Her research interests are on the history of the Buddhist tantra between India and southwest China. Her Ph.D. dissertation concentrates on the Dhāraṇī inscriptions in this area. Depending on the archaeology and philology of Dhāraṇī inscriptions, a specific and accurate discussion about the spread of the Buddhist tantra in this area will be done.
